This is a compelling
MUST WATCH short video, hard-hitting against nuclear power plants
and low level radiation. It should be viewed by every single
American as it explains how low level radiation has been creating
increasingly serious public health epidemics in the US among both adults
and children from 1942 to the present day.
According to Dr. Ernest
Sternglass (see bio below) "this nation is sealing its own doom"
and "we are really, really killing our own".
With the government's
newest "surge" on us - the American people - that is, the certain
push to ensure the nuclear industry gets whatever it needs,
whatever it takes to quickly get 30 new nuclear reactor
applications filed with the NRC in the next couple of
years? It is going to take short films such as this one and
face-to-face presentations within each and every community to
educate those who have absolutely no idea whatsoever that all-things-radiolog
ical are killing Americans, en masse.
Whether we allow the
blasting, dropping, burning, and "test" firing of Depleted Uranium
and other radioactive materials at our military bases and national
weapons laboratories into our open air, or whether we quietly sit back
and do nothing as nuclear power plants that leak radionuclides into our
atmosphere increase exponentially in number? We must rightfully
consider ourselves complicit in contributing to our own collective
radiation poisoning and extinction as a species.
If we realize that our
nation is being poison-gassed with man made radiation (courtesy of our
bombs, DU detonations and testing, and nuclear reactors) and we do
nothing to try to stop this radiological madness? Then
we, too, must hold ourselves accountable for knowingly allowing
these grievous crimes of purposeful, pre-meditated radiation
poisoning to continue, unchecked, against ourselves,
our families, and our
communities.
Here’s the short video,
followed by the bio of Dr. Ernest Sternglass. I think you will agree
that it is quite obvious that this learned scientist and scholar, well
into the prime of his life, is not so worried about his own future. My
guess is that he’s worried about our kids. And,
quite frankly, so am I.
We need to spread this
video far and wide. America is, quite literally,
nuking its own, right here at home. All of us have
family and friends suffering from these diseases. We’ve
got a number of public health epidemics on our hands now in the US and
it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to understand why.
America's alarming rise
in diseases such as cancers, diabetes, kidney failure, immune
system disorders, asthma and other respiratory disorders is no mystery
to scientists who study the effects of radiation upon human cells. It
is a simple concept, in fact, one that any first grader can grasp: Radiation
kills.
We are letting those in
power in all levels of government get away, quite literally, with
murder of our own people, on our own soil. For more on this
topic, see the writing of Dr. John Gofman, a Medical Physicist with a
Ph.D. in nuclear physical chemistry, and an M.D. who worked at a
national weapons laboratory and was involved in the Manhattan
Project.

Ernest Sternglass, Ph.D.,
is Director, Cofounder, and Chief Technical Officer of the Radiation
and Public Health Project.
In 1963, Dr. Sternglass
was invited to testify before the congressional Joint Committee on
Atomic Energy, as to how the exponential increase in strontium-90 in
baby teeth caused by bomb-test fallout was associated with increased
childhood leukemia. His research and testimony played a role in
President Kennedy's decision to sign the Partial Test Ban Treaty.
As Professor Emeritus of
Radiological Physics at the University of Pittsburgh Medical School, Dr. Sternglass has
written numerous articles on the health effects of low-level radiation.
His 1981 book Secret
Fallout: Low-level Radiation from Hiroshima
to Three Mile Island established him as a pioneer in the study of
the health effects of low-level radiation.

"Switching from coal to nukes," said Dan Becker, director of the Sierra
Club's global warming program, "is like giving up smoking and taking up
crack."
"Americans cannot escape a certain responsibility for what is done
in our name around the world. In a democracy, even one as corrupted as
ours, ultimate authority rests with the people. We empower the
government with our votes, finance it with our taxes, bolster it with
our silent acquiescence. If we are passive in the face of America's
official actions overseas, we in effect endorse them." - Mark Hertzgaard
