The Turning Point
Introduction to Interview Eleanor White is a retired
engineer and ham
Sueann Campbell Eleanor White 1. Would you relate to us when you first noticed thesigns of your targeting? * Sudden hostility by neighbours and strangers on the street, difficulty sleeping, sabotage of clothing and belongings too small to get police attention. Intense itching especially when I tried to sleep, especially where my body would contact the mattress. Very heavy fatigue on the job. 2. What emotions did you experience? * I just figured I was unlucky for 16 years, until I read Julianne McKinney's article "Microwave Harassment and Mind Control Experimentation." Once Julianne's article showed me what was really going on, I just got plain 'ticked off', the feeling which persists to the present. 3. What steps did you take to find out what was happening to you? * Basically I went on line, and it didn't take long to find the Mind Control Forum, then hosted by Ed Light, and Cheryl Welsh, the leading contact person I knew about at that time (1996.) And Julianne's article, of course. 4. Did you have ideas on getting it to stop? * I thought that human nature had just degraded to the point where organized stalking and later electronic harassment had become an accepted activity. I experimented with shielding, from simple to a huge, 4-layer, total enclosure around my bed in 1997. It did nothing to stop the harassment, and by that time, the many remote physical manipulation attacks made it plain that the perpetrators use technologies beyond those taught in school. Consequently, the few resources I had left go to looking for ways to expose and stop the crimes, rather than exposing and stopping the attacks. My favourite idea, if someone has substantial money to spend, would be to purchase an already licensed billboard and advertise our cause and web sites near a large city. I think the return on investment would be higher for that than other ideas I've heard. Simply renting the space would probably not work, as the billboard owner would be coerced to stop doing business with us. We would need two own the billboard. 5. Did you try to take steps to protect yourself? * Yes - several thousand dollars' worth of shielding and detection experiments. Those experiments made it clear that I was not under attack by conventional electromagnetic or acoustic signals. Shielding is a low cost way to exclude EM signals from around 20 Hz up to X-rays. If the effects continue, it's not an EM signal in that range. An oscilloscope connected to a large pickup coil will show if you have EM frequencies too low to be stopped by EM shielding, and I did that and found none during heavy attacks of various sorts. An ionizing radiation detector will show if one is being bombarded by X-rays or other ionizing signals, and mine showed no ionizing radiation except a very small amount of normal background radiation from cosmic rays. 6. Did they work? * No. There were some apparent "successes" which lasted from days down to hours, but it's now clear they were decoy successes. But my experiments did show I wasn't under attack by conventional EM signals. The types of attacks would not be doable using sound, and furthermore, the heavy concrete walls, floor, and ceiling also showed I wasn't being attacked using acoustic signals. 7. What is the achievement you are most proud of? * Can't think of one. If something I've done should contribute to the eventual exposing and stopping of organized stalking and electronic harassment, that would be the the item, but that hasn't happened yet. 8. What made you want to begin your work on the web (educating the public)? * I could see that the only entity large enough to eventually defeat the perpetrators would be to get the public educated. Personally, I believe that if a large percentage of the general public knew about these crimes, large enough so they could talk freely, these crimes would probably not be able to continue. An informed public could and would exert a huge amount of pressure on the corrupt governments and justice systems. 9. Did you find suitable companions for a support group? If so, how ? * I didn't really try. The e-mail forums have served me well enough. My first support group was the Mind Control Forum e-mail forum, which is still in operation, and though there are some rough spots, I think it's still the best place to keep up with what's happening. I found CATCH when Norma Lawrence asked if I was interested in being a member in 2004. The experience of the CATCH group in Toronto, headed by Norma Lawrence for approximately 2004-2006, was positive. However, Norma's work responsibilities increased, and she bore the screening responsibility for invitations to the meetings. She found she spent a lot of time dealing with callers who were not targets, and took up lots of her time for whatever reasons. They may have been perpetrators. Now CATCH is dormant except for the sites. I think group activity is going to be necessary to make real progress. I hope that an idea floated by Derrick Robinson, and that is to make carefully planned, (and supported by non-targets,) approaches to public officials will eventually become reality. CATCH didn't quite get that far. Group activity in which members actually say or write things to the public, public officials, or the media, is best done by group members who have developed the self discipline to lead with facts, and label opinions, guesses, theories, or analogies as such. Group activists also need to be careful to avoid naming specific agencies as guilty of carrying out the harassment without proof at a courtroom level. Nowadays, perhaps the best place to become aware of support groups are the postings by Derrick Robinson and others on the organized stalking/electronic harassment/mind control e-mail forums. There are web sites which have postings from people looking to network as well: http://www.mindcontrolforums.com http://www.stopcovertwar.com http://www.eharassment.ca The several once a week telephone conference calls are another way to network, and Derrick announces them in his weekly bulletins on the [mcforums] e-mail forum. 11. Do they make life easier for you? * Definitely. Knowing one is not the only one going through this real-life nightmare is the most effective support available. 12. How would you suggest to build a criteria to determine perps that make actual physical contact with you, in reference to gang stalking. * I don't quite understand that question. My perpetrators don't make physical contact with me. They do organized stalking, which is a series of harassment skits, carefully designed to appear to a casual observer like "life's normal breaks." But I don't recall any physical contact by these harassers. I've had a couple of clearly faked car accidents, but that was physical contact with the car, not me. If you mean instead, identify my perpetrators, I can identify a very small number whom I see repeatedly. But until the public and justice system become aware (for those who simply don't know) or admit (for those corrupt or compromised who pretend not to know) I don't see any way my identifying my perpetrators can get positive action. So that's not something I concern myself with at the moment. A couple of very capable targets are indeed trying very hard to build up an identity list and they may succeed in making a breakthrough with their local justice systems. More power to them! But I feel more inclined to work on finding ways to take our best material and figure out how to present it. I've posted my best ideas, and the best ideas of others on presentation, on this web site about "verbal tactics": http://groups.yahoo.com/group/vertacs 13. From your web site, www.raven1.net, it is clear that you have dedicated time and resources to educate yourself and others. Could you paraphrase the most important aspects of the weapons research you have found for our readers, especially the new ones to our community? * The most important aspect of weapons research is the discovery, by a number of targets, not just me, of five weapons which (a) can do exactly what happens to us and (b) do so through walls, and silently i.e. others in the area can't hear anything, and without burning through anything. Those 5 technologies can't do everything that happens, but they can do enough of what happens to force even the most reluctant public official to acknowledge there are e-harassment weapons in existence. Those five weapons are summarized here: http://www.raven1.net/5techs.htm Another important aspect are the 30-40 reports from targets, myself included, who get repeated harassment effects which are too advanced to result from any signal type as taught in school today. The main such effect is the surgically precise remote manipulation of body parts and objects, even through shielding which would stop conventional signals. That aspect has great importance for targets who have enough resources to experiment, so their resources aren't "blown" on cures for purely conventional signals. And new targets tend to be the ones with remaining resources. It is just as important to know what does NOT work as it is to know what does. (And so far, no countermeasure that I'm aware of has worked fully and permanently.) The realization that signals advanced beyond signal types taught in school means that the field of countermeasure experiments is wide open, because we don't know what may be effective against the advanced signals. The main caveat is targets should not spend money or other resources which they can't afford to lose. A second caveat is to avoid non-targets seeing strange countermeasure experiments, as allegations of mental illness are the main weapon public officials use against us. If the public, or, say, your apartment super, sees strange countermeasure experiments, that doesn't help with your reputation. 14. Have you come across any information on the HAARP system, as it relates to T.I.'s, in your research? * The HAARP system is a powerful, aimable short-wave transmitter (not microwave) which is aimed at the ionosphere and can heat it, and cause the ionosphere to radiate ELF signals to submarines, and other possible effects such as weather control. Any powerful pulsed transmitter can act as a big Lida machine. A Lida machine is an old medical device which transmits a pulsed radio signal at a subject. If the pulse rate is in the range of brain activity during sleep, it can cause sleep in the subject. It can also, with a pulse rate increase, cause wakefulness. More complex pulsing radio signal transmitters can cause nausea and other disruptive effects on people in the signal path. However, HAARP can't be focused as microwave can, so I don't see how HAARP can account for the surgically precise attack effects we experience. Only if the general public started reporting our effects would I think in terms of HAARP. Eleanor White
Accepting
The Helping Hand
Damage Control Commonalities of a targeted individual, includes being ostracized from social, business, and often personal communities. From being harassed to the point of self implosion, we as T.I.’s, have gone to drastic actions of seeking help, and understanding. We often seek, sometimes demand, the help of professional authorities, only to be laughed at and driven away. This is only after we have sought understanding from our families, and friends. Whom most likely, have no idea what we are speaking of, and if they do, let on in no way, and begin to look at us suspiciously. This does little to ease our fears. Reactions may become more desperate, less responsive. So much so, that what needs to be done next is no less than, damage control. Stop trying to convince others, and begin fighting the social curse that has been forced upon us. Speak to those that you positively know are affected by the same “maladies” , as in the conference calls and group forums that are at our disposal. Alienation does not have to continue, and if you can deal with the connection of telephone and internet to commune with others, you are on your way. Questions abound in our minds, who do we trust? How do we learn more about this situation, if no one is willing to acknowledge the situation even exists? Also, how do we gather information without also receiving a one way ticket to the nearest Mental Health Facility? What should be first and foremost in our minds, is not only protecting ourselves, but our friends and family. Most often, we believe that is done by educating them on what is happening. As I have experienced, this is not always the best route. The more one knows, the more possibility of targeting is introduced. Why would we want our children and spouses to experience that which we do? Oftentimes we harbor the wish that perhaps our family would join the brigade of informing the public. This is not always a reasonable request. Instead, seek a community which has already been introduced to these atrocious happenings. The need for a community which also understands, is a priority for progress. Join the conference calls, or group forums which you feel comfortable with. Lashing out at family, the people we are trying to protect, is in no way a progressive statement. This also undermines our efforts to protect them further. T.I.’s often find themselves the targets in their own community as well. Through the forums which are attempting to educate and bring together individuals, either very negative T.I.’s or perps have infiltrated and wreak havoc. Effectively distracting us from what is most important, survival, and education. How are we supposed to go anywhere in this world, if we attack one another? Band together! Negativity is everywhere, hope for a solution, and we run around in circles because no one can come to agreement for all their worries about what’s happening to them. What about everyone else? Do our perpetrators hope for this, indeed, count on it? That our selfish needs and our paranoid “dreams” distract us from any hope of a constructive conclusion, reached through each other, and by each other? Could this be something to meditate on? Getting rid of these negative members, that are perhaps perps themselves seems like the solution. So we block them, to only have two more pop up, with different names, fueling the fires of distraction. Knowing what they are doing is somehow, not enough for us. We must call them out, giving them exactly what they want, a finger pointed at them in animosity and negativity. Forgetting that through focus and determination to positively educate and support those that truly require it, is our purpose in these forums. I dare not suggest that our advancements or set backs are strictly our own responsibility. As a community, we cannot go anywhere without each other, and conversely, we cannot fail without each other. In an effort to protect our endeavors, selves, family and friends, the way we interact with the public in general is, in effect, damage control. A number one priority for anyone living with being a targeted individual.
Paradoxes in Victimization For domestic violence victims, abuse
can be confusing. Often women who are physically abused are told by
their abuser that it is their fault. They may be told repeatedly that
it will never happen again. The abuse may change over a long period of
time and many types of dependencies cause further involvement in the
relationship, such as financial and emotional. There may be children to
take care of and they may not be willing to leave. There could be
threats
of more violence contingent upon leaving the relationship. The victim
may feel like her love is insufficient if she leaves the relationship.
Sometimes hope of the relationship changing makes more sense to the
victim than the necessary changes of creating a new life, which may
also be dangerous without help. Abusive situations are very complex
in the hearts and minds of victims. Some of these complexities form
into a paradox about being a victim. The first step in treatment is
identification of the problem. Signs of abuse can be threats and
actions of harm or injury, sexual abuse, and emotional abuses, such as
financial control, embarrassment and social isolation, are common in
domestic abuse (ACOG Website). On the one hand, victims are encouraged
to recognize
the abuse in such a way that their victimization is established. And
yet, simultaneously, the victim should be proactive in order to step
out of the victimized mentality. Are there contradictions within the
psychological treatment of abuse? The result is a complicated
relationship to have with oneself. The way out of victimization in
cases of domestic abuse requires great leaps of pro-activity and seems
self-contradictory. Is there a more effective model for understanding
these relationships? For those in the AA program, this
paradox may be more important than confusing. By identifying alcoholism
as a disease, the person is separated from the substance in a
victimized role to the alcoholism and alcohol, which is not a
derogatory stance, but one that provides hope and empowerment. This, in
turn, requires surrendering to the idea of being an alcoholic, which is
part of the first step of the program. The alcoholic may choose not to
drink, but will
never lose their alcoholism. The paradox, in the case of domestic abuse, is furthered within the plethora of psychological books that help victims identify the patterns that lead to repetitively choosing abusive relationships. Pia Melody in Facing Codependence identifies, “facing the fact that the disease exists in your life” as “the first major step in changing…” (page 3). The victim of abuse is also an abuser of themselves, in a sense, by permitting and developing these types of relationships. They are described as dependent and addictive with love, and there are a number of 12-step programs that offer a wealth of education, resources and support, such as Sex and Love Addicts Anonymous (SLAA) and Codependent Anonymous (CODA). In fact, they are in turn victims of their past: “because of these earlier experiences, codependent adults often lack the skills necessary to lead mature lives and have satisfying relationships,” (Facing Codependence, Pia Mellody, back cover). Many are caught in a cycle of rejecting change at an unconscious level, even though they want to find better companions. For the T.I., the concept of
victimization is complicated by the difficulty of understanding and
identifying the abuser as well as the symptoms of abuse. Often, T.I.’s
are confused about what is going on. Many stories begin with the T.I.
feeling that they are simply unlucky. Their life keeps falling apart at
the seams and they are unaware than anyone else experiences electronic
harassment. Rarely do they know why they are being targeted, although a
series of speculations may be presented. There is a progression in the
harassment, an increase in the number of identified incidents and
interferences in life. When one is a victim of a harassing
unknown force, the feeling of being insane makes sense! Trying
to tell someone about it is frustrating because T.I.’s of the caliber
who are aware of electronic harassment are rare to find. Although the
general population may be able to see the potential for this kind of
abuse, at this time, one must be made aware of it to know it
its true existence. Even spouses and loved ones find it hard to believe
when targeting is very specific to the individual in such ways that
lack concrete evidence- it’s technologically based! How does one go out to start a new
life? Being stalked is not a relationship that can be walked away from
at will. In the case of electronic harassment, the target cannot find
the source in order to gain a restraining order. Similarly, at Oasis,
we usually do not encourage moving to a new state or county as a
solution to targeting because it rarely works. Being a T.I., like other
types of abuse, has been called a terminal condition, sometimes
actually with
the intention of leading to death. As targeting progresses, T.I.’s often begin to make different choices that display a confusion of priorities as a product of the harassment. For example, some T.I.’s are more likely to make dramatic efforts to have their story heard by an audience that is not able to understand or does not have the capability to help. The forums for T.I.’s rarely cultivate the necessary sense of community and compassion for one another. There are things that can be done in this life and we can live in love and hope! Be thoughtful in your decision-making by staying calm and as objective as possible for the betterment of a normalized life. That is a tall order that can bring you peace and requires an attitude of patience and respect despite feelings of anger, frustration, and injustice. Amidst the complexities regarding victimization, the bottom line is clear: no one deserves to be abused. Free Speech for TI's Appeals to the first amendment are used in everyday situations, but rarely are these sound legal arguments. There is a very strong sense of nationalism attached to these freedoms as a founding principle, but what does the law actually say? The First Amendment right to free speech is about being protected from government regulations on most speech, such as speaking a dissenting political opinion or ideology. For instance, the law cannot prohibit speaking about law reforms, such as legalizing marijuana, but it can prohibit speech that is detrimental to national security, or certain threatening speech. This legal difference between freedom of expression and “free speech” is more than an interpretation of the law, it is the way it was written. Freedom of expression is a concept Americans have extrapolated from an overly romanticized view of history; it is not the founding principle. Consider the Alien and Sedition Act of 1798, which made malicious speech against the government illegal until Jefferson repealed it, following heated debates during the election of 1800. The Supreme Court did not make a ruling at that time to set a precedent of freedom of expression by proclaiming the Alien and Sedition Act unconstitutional. We cannot even be sure that freedom of expression was the true intent of the framers. The freedom of speech is only a protection against the government. It does not protect speech in the private sector. For example, you can be fired for bad mouthing a boss over the internet, even if you think what you were doing was having a private conversation over a blog. According to Lawrence Lessig in his book Code and Other Laws of Cyberspace, aside from legal barriers, there are restraints from the market, situational architecture, and social norms that serve to regulate free speech, which impose limitations differently for various contexts, such as the internet and radio broadcasts. Consider the recent cancellation of Don Imus’ radio show. Imus’ canceled simulcast on MSNBC occurred because there are markets and social norms that enforce regulations on his particular use of racist remarks. He absolutely does not have a legally fortified right to say whatever he wants on the radio; there are no laws that guarantee a forum for what you have to say. Instead, there are many legal forms of censorship by the government. The Federal Communications Commission censors the air waves, and prevent such things as foul language. Other government agencies participate in regular surveillance of internet sites, including blogs. To explain some particulars of free speech, let us turn to the Supreme Court case of The New York Times v United States. In June of 1971, the New York Times began running a series with exerts from a top-secret Department of Defense report regarding the US involvement in the Vietnam War. The case that ensued was about prior restraint on the papers and there were many different opinions from the judges involved. The New York Times was supported by the Supreme court in continuing to publish the classified “Pentagon Papers” because, according to Lessig, they had already been leaked. This meant that the government’s case, which depended on “irreparable harm,” was undermined; the cat was already out of the bag with additional help from The Chicago Tribune. This brings up modern issues about protections of speech that are based, in great part, upon publication. More specifically, let’s look at this issue in regards to the internet as a forum. What if the report was leaked to an internet source? Would Ellsburg have created his own website to distribute the report if it happened today? In our modern internet-using days, anyone can publish anything on the web if they have internet access. Likewise, the web is not an automatically credentialed source, especially at the level of the private individual website. What would have happened to the credibility of these papers if they went straight to a non-credentialed forum, or a more controversial conspiracy-based site or blog? Would it lose its impact as truth? Printed “news” sources have established credibility and trust, whereas the internet should always be questioned, according to Lessig. The level of protection required by the government may be directed toward modes of publishing, instead of strictly regarding the material. It is very debatable whether or not the internet can be regulated, especially when it is a global network and each country has different laws. Many T.I.’s have found a place to speak their peace, or shall I say rage, on the internet. Perpetrators may or may not be threatened by this because they realize that the relatively uneducated “rational-thinking” majority has been more interested in ostracizing such experiences than believing them. Can people resolve their opinion of you if their opinion starts off being one of not trusting your sanity? If people think you are crazy and you try to explain that you are not, are you already in a lose-lose situation? How can truth be recognized within questionable or biased websites? Regardless, we know that there is a great deal of truth in many of these web pages, even if it is partially hidden amid emotional appeals and bias language. The mere concept of a bias opinion is based in great part upon the social norms of what most people know, which is very little in this case! T.I.’s face this kind of conundrum everyday. Being a T.I. is a complex problem, and that’s aside from the trauma of the actual targeting. Oasis Turning Point encourages its members and the society as a whole to know your rights so that you can speak accordingly and assertively.
